CDs You Want

I got a new CD of original fiddle tunes. Called SEAGULLS (long story). Keith Fletcher says: “I recommend it for folks looking for something good for the soul.” Available at CDBaby.com, Amazon.com, ITunes, and Spotify.

SEAGULLS is a CD of fourteen original fiddle tunes, played by Pippa Letsky accompanied by Clare Connors on piano, Bill Foley on banjo, Tim Langen on fiddle, and Terry McKown, Pete Szkolka, or Cliff White on guitar.

There is also a TUNEBOOK for this album, with musical notes, black-and-white photos, and a story about each tune ($20). The tunebook is available from Artlandish Galleries on Walnut and Yellow Dog Bookstore on Ninth, Columbia, MO.

And the 2018 CD from Pippa and the Strawmen is called MISSOURICANA. Seven original songs, written by Steve O’Dell (lyrics) and me (melodies) with Mark Ort playing the sweetest of electric guitar. ($10) Available at CDBaby.com, Amazon.com, ITunes, and Spotify.

What folks are saying about the first album of original tunes, FIDDLE TUNES FOR MY DAD:

“This is my favorite album of Pippa’s. Each tune is compelling and expressive–you know straight away what each one is saying, which is an uncommon and beautiful thing. The arrangements and performances are simple and spot on. Nothing gets in the way of the music. Pippa has a gift for creating tunes. They sound like classics already. Listen a few times and you’ll see what I mean.” Darry Dolezal (cellist)

And there is now even a TUNEBOOK of the notes for all those fourteen original tunes, with stunning black-and-white photos by David Dearnley. ($20). Or if you just want one tune at a time, no photos, give me a dollar and your email address and I can send you a pdf.
